Altynsarin Institute hosted a round table on the topic “My profession is my pride”. The event was organized and held by students and teachers of the EP "Geography", "Geography and History", "Biology and Geography".
The main objective of the meeting is to equip students with real expectations in their future professional activities, to form an idea of the practical significance of a specialist in the labor market through familiarization with the success stories of graduates.
In his welcoming speech, the head of the EP Kalkashev G.S. spoke about modern education technologies, competency-based skills of the specialty, also introduced the audience to the scientific direction of the EP "Geography", which is based on the topic "Earth Science and Digital Geography".
The senior teacher of the institute Boltirik Maksutbek Ybyshuly spoke about building a professional career, as well as about the competencies and the level of qualification requirements for graduates.
Students were acquainted with the current state and development prospects of the chosen direction, as well as with the requirements of employers for university graduates.

The graduates of ArkPI of the past years were invited to the meeting, many of whom chose the pedagogical path, got jobs in their specialty in various organizations of the city and region:

In a conversation with students, the guests shared memories of their student life, "personal stories" about finding and becoming oneself in the profession after completing professional training at the institute, and the secrets of pedagogical excellence. told about their path in pedagogy, difficulties and achievements in their professional activities.
“A teacher goes through a very difficult path to become a real teacher. He often doubts, experiences difficulties. But overcoming oneself gives him new strength and new opportunities. And, of course, it is interesting for the students themselves, they understand the main thing: they have chosen a difficult but wonderful profession,” the guests noted.

The round table provided the participants with the opportunity to express their point of view on the discussed problem of postgraduate employment, and further formulate a common opinion that each student in the learning process should make the most of all the opportunities that the university provides in obtaining professional education, be active and creative in passing production practices.
A free exchange of views took place between the participants of the discussion on the relationship between the educational characteristics of graduates and employment in the specialty, the impact of working in the specialty on wages and job satisfaction.
“The meeting was held in a friendly and warm atmosphere. It was interesting to get acquainted with the graduates of the past years, they are all very different, each has their own destiny, but they are all united by the fact that ArcPI once became a part of their lives. It is very joyful that many of them continued their pedagogical dynasties, which means that the profession of a teacher remains in demand and relevant at all times,” graduate students shared their impressions.

The problems discussed at the "Round Table" touched upon various socially significant problems of our society and were aimed at solving specific recommendations for first-year students. The conversation turned out to be active, interesting and very informative for all participants of the round table.
