On August 24, 2023, Astana will host the Higher Education and Science Forum for the first time. The theme of the forum will be devoted to the development of human capital as the basis for the country's economic growth.

The forum will be attended by employees of the education and science system, heads of universities and research institutes, representatives of the public council, members of the board of directors of universities, the council of young scientists, students, experts and others.
Within the framework of the forum, it is planned to hold thematic sectional meetings on higher education and science at Nazarbayev University and IT-University, language policy at ENU. L.N. Gumilyov.
At the plenary session of the forum, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov will deliver a welcoming video message to the forum participants.
Also, the speech of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tamar Dyusenova, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek, Professor, Deputy Vice-Rector (Academic Leadership) of Heriot-Watt University Tadhg O'donovan, President of De Montfort University in Kazakhstan Sakina Zafar, Vice - President of the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Dzhumadildaev and others.
