Literary evening dedicated to A. Imanov

On September 13, 2023, at the Altynsarin Institute, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of A. Imanov, a literary evening “People's Hero - Amangeldy Imanov” was held, organized by the information and comprehensive library of the institute.

The purpose of the event was to highlight the heroic deeds of the Kazakh batyr, the leader of the national liberation uprising of 1916, to present works about the hero to the general public, as well as to attract readers to the library.

At the evening, library staff reviewed the book exhibition, where works dedicated to the national hero were presented. They gave interesting information about the people's liberation movement of 1916 in Kazakhstan.
“Such literary evenings, containing valuable facts from our history, raise a sense of patriotism and contribute to the memory of the past,” noted library staff.
During the literary event, young poets - students of the faculty of “History and Art”, “Pedagogy and Philology” performed musical works and read out poems by poets, as well as excerpts telling about the heroism of Amangeldy Imanov. Thus, 4th year student Khasenov Erkebulan performed Baurzhan Aktaev’s piece “Alash Amanaty”, and students of the faculty performed the works of Zh. Zhabaev “Amangeldi toyina”, S. Saduakasuly “Amangeldi turaly”, B. Imanov “Amangeldinin anasymen koshtaskany”, S. Onaibekuly “ Batyr”, Y. Adambekova “Amangeldi”, O. Shipin’s epic “Amangeldy Batyr”.

Among the guests of the evening were senior teachers of Altynsarin Institute Abdullina Ardak Amirkhankyzy and Zharmagambetov Erbol Erbatyruly. They shared their opinions about the leaders of the national liberation uprising of 1916, including the historical role of Amangeldy Imanov.
At the end of the event, excerpts from the film “Amankeldy” were shown to those present, and a quiz was held on the theme of the evening.
