The research direction of the department - "Scientific and pedagogical bases of the development of theory and methods of teaching History, Fundamentals of Law and Economics of the Republic of Kazakhstan."
   The aim of this direction - the study of scientific and pedagogical foundations for the development of the theory and methodology of history, fundamentals of law and economics.
   Scientific activity of the department is made up of work in the preparation and publication of monographs employees of textbooks publication (either alone or in a group of authors), of the preparation of the scientific articles in domestic and foreign publications, and in the preparation and conduct of research activities at the Department, participation in teaching staff in meetings and scientific conferences outside the institute, a scientific guide students in regular appearances in the popular press, and other.
