Brief historical background

Department of Physical Culture and Sports existed as a part of the Faculty of Philology Department of the Institute as a general leading the subject of general education (physical education) for all specialties. The first heads of the department were A.G.Kan, E.B. Narymbaev. They made a great contribution to the discovery of this specialty. Since 1994, opened a specialty «Physical Culture and Sport», which began to teach specialists of Physical Culture and Sport for the Torgay region. The Department was headed – Honored coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Associate Professor WAC Sabyrzhanov Zhomart Sabyrzhanovich from 1996 to 1998. Tokmurzin Murat Tokmurzinovich, from 1998 to 2004 - Associate Professor S.A. Naushabekov, from 2004 to 2008, was appointed Senior Lecturer Ershatov K.B.. In subsequent years were Kultanov D.T., Abilhairov O.E., Safargaliyeva G. N..
At the present time the head of the Department is Beissenbayev Sundetbai Kuandykovich.

Objectives of the Department:
• the introduction of new technologies in the educational process
• Providing specialty «Physical Culture and sports» instructional literature, UMKC, UMKD.
• Achievement of sporting victories in competitions of regional, national level.
