As part of a working visit to the region, the director of the National Testing Center of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ruslan Emelbaev, visited the Arkalyk Pedagogical Institute named after Y. Altynsarin, where he met with graduates of the university and colleges in pedagogical areas.

During the meeting, the director of the center spoke about the main changes and innovations in the rules and requirements for certification of teachers.
According to the speaker, the changes made to the Rules for assessing the knowledge of teachers (previously - national qualification testing) generally improved the conditions for teachers to pass certification.

One of the innovations that future teachers have learned about is a new format of the AKT for preschool organizations, and a new category for university graduates - “trainee teacher”.
“The rules provide that university graduates are also subject to the next assignment of a qualification category. They can apply for the qualification category "trainee teacher", which is assigned for one academic year. For the period of the academic year, a teacher-mentor is assigned to a trainee teacher. Based on the results of the completion of the program for entering the profession and the positive recommendation of the teacher-mentor, the attestation commission makes a decision on assigning the qualification category "teacher" to the trainee teacher. After that, an employment contract is concluded with the teacher for one calendar year. Subsequent labor relations are formalized within the framework of labor legislation,” Ruslan Tokhtarbekovich noted.
In his report, the guest of the meeting dwelled in more detail on the issue of the procedure for passing attestation, as well as the content and structure of the test tasks of the AKT.

It should be noted that certification is carried out in order to determine the level of qualification of teachers, according to the results of which they are assigned or confirmed qualification categories and monthly allowances, and also allows teachers to solve the main task - improving the quality of education.
