As part of the implementation of the instructions of the Head of State to improve the financial security of the population, Altynsarin Institute hosted a meeting of the faculty and staff of the university with specialists from the Economic Investigation Department for the Kostanay region of the Financial Monitoring Agency.

The purpose of the event is to acquaint the participants of the meeting with the basics of personal financial security, various types of financial fraud and the basic rules of financial security.

During the meeting, Azamat Esimzhanovich Kusainov, Deputy Investigation Department of the Department, touched upon the most acute social problems in the field of financial crimes. The guest spoke about the basics of financial literacy, measures to prevent fraud, including on the Internet, related to bank cards, online shopping, as well as recognizing the signs of network marketing with elements of a financial pyramid.

The participants of the meeting discussed with interest the issue of the activities of financial pyramids and their consequences. A video about financial pyramids, widely known today, was presented. According to the speaker, scammers are active in social networks, attracting participants with various pranks and other marketing tricks. To date, more than 600 links to financial pyramid websites have been blocked in the country.
