Meeting on the formation of an anti-corruption culture

As part of the explanatory work among social groups on the formation of an anti-corruption culture, the Altynsarin Institute team met with employees of the anti-corruption service.

The meeting was attended by the police officer of the Department of Prevention of the DAPC for the Kostanay region Bolat Rustem and the head of the MOPC for the Arkalyk region Nurbol Muratuly.
The purpose of the event is to explain the legislative framework for combating corruption in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as discussing the role of each person, including a teacher, in creating an atmosphere of intolerance towards manifestations of corruption and the formation of an anti-corruption culture.

During the meeting, the speakers briefed the institute staff on the changes made to the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the formation of an anti-corruption culture in society, and also reminded them of the administrative and criminal liability and penalties for receiving illegal material rewards and bribes.
In particular, the measure of responsibility for an administrative corruption offense is a fine of 600 MCI (Article 677 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Kazakhstan), for a criminal one - from a fine in the amount of 20 times the amount of a bribe to imprisonment for up to 15 years, with confiscation of property (Article 366 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan).

At the same time, representatives of the authorities called on those present not only to comply with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on combating corruption and corporate standards of integrity, but also to continue to actively involve the younger generation in the work to form zero tolerance for any offenses, cultivate the principles of integrity in society.
An open and confidential dialogue took place between the participants of the round table. All questions were answered comprehensively and competently.
