The Department of Practical Course of Foreign Language of the Foreign Languages Faculty held the Republican Online Translation Contest dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the first rector and founder of Karaganda State University, scientist, writer, academician Evnei Buketov.

The main purpose of the competition is to popularize the literary heritage of Academician E.A. Buketov, who made an invaluable contribution to the development of science, literature and translation studies of Kazakhstan.
The competition was attended by 80 students from 15 universities of Kazakhstan.
To participate in the competition, it was necessary to translate an excerpt from the literary work of Academician E.A. Buketov “Six Letters to a Friend” (from Russian into English, German, French, Turkish, Chinese).
