EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM "6B01504-CHEMISTRY"
1st course
In the first academic year, such compulsory disciplines as "Modern history of Kazakhstan", "Philosophy", "Physical Culture", "Module of socio-political knowledge", "Kazakh (Russian) language", "Foreign language" are studied. They are aimed at the formation of students' socio-personal and communicative competencies: openness of consciousness, spiritual modernization, realism, socio-humanitarian worldview.
Components of higher education institution:
The study of disciplines "Introduction to the teaching profession", "Developmental Physiology and Safety Basics" leads to the formation of the initial knowledge and skills for the development of professional training of a teacher. In addition, while studying the course "Inorganic Chemistry", students get acquainted with basic chemical concepts, perform laboratory work, such as determining the concentration of solutions, the rate of chemical reactions, and have the opportunity to demonstrate practical skills.
Professional practices:
1. Educational and introductory practice: students get acquainted with the structure, the basic principles of the organization of the school, the activities of the subject teacher.
2. Language Practice 1: Students practice the academically competent use of languages in an educational environment for professional purposes.
2nd course
Students will have the opportunity to study the compulsory disciplines "Information and communication technologies" and "Physical culture" in the second academic year. Knowledge and skills on new "digital" thinking, the use of modern information and communication technologies in various fields of activity, the basics of a healthy lifestyle will be systematized during these courses.
Components of higher education institution:
You develop your professional training and consider the pedagogical heritage of the great enlighteners and scientists of the Great Steppe when studying the components of higher education institution "Pedagogy", "Pedagogical Psychology", "Pedagogical heritage of the Great Steppe".
The course "Specialized English" offers opportunities for the active use of the vocabulary of a professional foreign language and the language of a specialty in everyday and professional communication in a multilingual educational environment.
One of the main chemical disciplines is "Organic Chemistry". In this course, students get acquainted with organic compounds, their structure, methods of synthesis and the laws of mutual transformation.
Optional component:
You can choose one of the following courses of general education disciplines, namely "Normative legal acts and office work in the field of secondary education", "Local history" and "Fundamentals of entrepreneurship".
You will study 3 optional chemical courses from the catalog of elective disciplines.
Professional practices:
Pedagogical and psychological practice is planned for this academic year. During this practice, students get acquainted with the procedure of studying the psychological and pedagogical characteristics of the team, conduct a psychological and pedagogical analysis of the lesson.
Language practice: professional language practice is of great importance in the training of qualified biology teachers in a professional educational environment, which allows you to replenish the vocabulary of the English language and general outlook on special topics, develop skills in working with official documents and translating texts.
3rd course
In the third academic year, you get the opportunity to study the next courses included in components of higher education institution from 2 modules aimed at the formation of professional training and skills of a teacher. They are:
1. "Theory and methodology of educational work" will allow organizing and conducting educational work with schoolchildren in accordance with the national ideas of "Mangilik El" and"Rukhani Zhangyru".
2. The course "Inclusive education" covers an analysis of the procedure for studying the psychological and pedagogical characteristics of students in an inclusive environment.
3. "Methods of teaching chemistry": during the course, students will be able to get acquainted with the teaching methods of chemistry based on modern teaching methods and criteria-based assessment technologies, as well as develop practical skills in lesson planning.
4. The course "New technologies in education" is aimed at applying the principles of updating the content of secondary education, effective teaching and learning methods and technologies of criteria-based assessment.
5. The course "Cyber Technologies in teaching chemistry" is a modern discipline aimed at creative preparation and the application of digital methodologies for effective teaching and learning.
6. The course "Organization of scientific-research work and academic writing" is also important, which leads to the organization of research projects in chemistry, planning research in the field of education, academically competent search for scientific materials.
7. During the course "Computational chemistry" you will have the opportunity to develop your digital competence, describing the structure, reactivity and properties of chemical compounds using the program HyperChem.
Optional component:
You will study 3 optional chemical courses from the catalog of elective disciplines.
Students undergo pedagogical practice to develop practical skills and abilities in planning, organizing and conducting educational, extracurricular, educational work in biology, drawing up educational documentation in this academic year.
4th course
In the last academic year you will study 4 optional chemical courses from the catalog of elective disciplines. During the study of these courses, students describe the meaning and specificity of chemical technology, consider the methods of experimentation in the system of teaching chemistry, use the main types and methods for solving problems of different levels of complexity, get an idea of inorganic and organic synthesis, apply the basic methods of physical and chemical analysis.
Professional practices:
1. In the educational practice of the discipline "Chemical technology", students get acquainted with the types of chemical industry in the region, its structure.
2. Professional practice aimed at the comprehensive involvement of students in practical pedagogical activities within the framework of the updated content of secondary education is planned for 12-weeks.
According to the final attestation module, all students write and defend a diploma work (project) dedicated to research and analysis in the field of biology teaching methods or do a complex exam.
