Gifted Students Support Program
The “Rules about gifted students of the Department of Chemistry, biology and geography” have been developed in accordance with the requirements of state general educational standards for higher education (31.10.2018), "State program of education and science development of the RK for 2020-2025" (27.12.2019).
In accordance with modern concepts of education development, which provide for the possibility of deepening students 'knowledge in various educational fields, the teaching staff faced the need to develop the program "Gifted students". This program provides for the implementation of a person-oriented approach through the individualization and differentiation of educational material to the most capable students in the educational process.
Program goals:
• identification of capable and gifted students;
• ensuring the development of students ' abilities in their chosen profession( specialty), fields of knowledge, culture, art, sports, etc.;
• ensuring the implementation of abilities in scientific research, scientific analysis, research, creative activities;
• fostering a sustained interest in self-education and self-improvement.
Program objective:
• creation of a system for targeted identification and selection of gifted students;
• creation of the most favorable conditions for the intellectual, moral and physical development of gifted students;
• encourage creative activity of gifted students;
• development and gradually introduction of new educational content, advanced technologies in working with gifted students;
• creation of the conditions for gifted students to realize their personal creative abilities in the process of research and search activities.
Main directions of the program:
• making organizational and managerial decisions aimed at improving work with gifted students;
• preparation for participation in subject Olympiads
• research activities of students;
• implementation of measures for more effective inclusion of gifted students in intellectual and creative activities.
Expected results of the program:
• will be provided an effective system for identifying, developing and supporting gifted students in the Department;
• positive changes in the quality characteristics of students ' participation in subject Olympiads, intellectual competitions (city, regional, national, international);
• growth in the number of students participating in the Olympiad movement and research activities.
Methods (methods) for identifying gifted students (EP 6B01504-Chemistry, 6B01505-Biology, 6B01506-Geography, 6B01510-Chemisty-biology, 6B01511-Geography-history and 6B01512-Biology-geography):
• average score of the certificate (secondary education);
• the results of the UNT/CT;
• analysis of students ' progress based on the results of the session;
• characteristics of the teaching staff;
• characteristics of the adviser.
