From June 1 to June 4, 2023, the championship of the republic in Kazakh kuresi was held in Pavlodar. The strongest athletes from all regions of the country under the age of 23 took part in the competition.

A 4th year student of the EP "Physical Culture and Sports" Akimbek Kairat performed in the 60 kg weight category. He had 5 fights and in the decisive fight, by decision of the judges, he became the absolute winner of the Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

“All my opponents were very well prepared, each of them had their own technique and tactics of struggle. But I managed to beat them,” says the young champion.
