Altynsarin Institute hosts Volunteer Week

The Altynsarin Institute began a week of volunteer movement, timed to coincide with December 5 – International Volunteer Day.

At the opening of the event, initiated by social issues and youth policy, a program of planned events for the entire week was presented.

The goal of the week is to introduce young people to spiritual and moral education, form a public culture, systematize values aimed at leading a healthy lifestyle, and train students to solve socially significant problems.
During the planned event, under the auspices of the volunteer movement “Zhurekten Zhurekke”, city quest games “Hurry to do good!”, debates on the topic “Free good”, organized by the debate club “Akiqat”, a charity event for children living in dormitory No. 12 for socially vulnerable families with the support of the literary association named after M. Dulatov.Also, the student organization “Zhas Orda” held a matinee for children from low-income families.
In addition, at the opening ceremony of the week, a group of students who continuously worked as volunteers throughout the year were awarded letters of gratitude from the chief of staff, Sayyn Alimuly.

It is worth noting that the volunteer movement “Zhurekten Zhurekke”, created at ArkPI named after I. Altynsarin, is aimed at developing and promoting volunteer, socially useful activities among students.
Head of the Center for Social Issues and Youth Policy Z.N. Batyrova noted that: “Student associations showed great activity in events implemented during the week. Students who adhered to the principles of volunteerism competed with each other in performing good deeds during the week. One of the important factors for our educational institution is to attract students to volunteer activities.”
