“Tolegenov Readings – 2024” were held at Altynsarin Institute
On April 12, at the Arkalyk Pedagogical Institute named after I. Altynsarin, on the Day of Science Workers, an international scientific and practical conference “Tolegenov Readings - 2024” was held on the topic “Modern education system: trends, innovations, technologies.”
The purpose of the conference is to analyze current problems of the current education system in Kazakhstan, consider national megatrends, innovations and technologies, and exchange experiences.
Under the current conditions, the event was held in an online-remote format. Despite this circumstance, modern technologies and equipment allowed scientists and teachers from different countries and cities to meet and discuss current issues and challenges facing modern society and the education system.
The geography of the conference participants turned out to be extensive and included cities such as Astana, Taldykorgan, Shymkent, Pavlodar, Taraz, etc. In addition, among the participants there were representatives from Ufa, Smolensk, and Moscow.
The conference was conducted in sections of the natural sciences and social and humanitarian areas. A total of 145 applications were received.
Participants and guests of the conference from other regions were welcomed by the acting vice-rector for research and strategic development Zh.B. Baiseitova. In her speech, she noted: “Science today plays a big role in global competition. Thanks to science, we can compete with developed countries on equal terms. In this regard, the institute’s staff contributes to the development of the country. Proof of this is the traditional “Tolegenov Readings”. I am sure that this conference will make a great contribution to the development of Kazakhstani pedagogical science and everyone will leave here with a large store of knowledge."
“Tolegenov Readings – 2024” brought together young researchers, scientists and teachers from the CIS countries, who discussed issues of advanced training, development of professional competencies and methods of modern teaching in the system of continuing teacher education.
At the plenary session, reports were heard from the teacher from the secondary school named after N. Ostrovsky, Khamit A.B. about modern trends in education, a report on the peculiarities of using electronic geographical maps by the teacher of school No. 4 named after Keiki Batyr Birmakanov K.S., associate professor of the Ufa University of Science and Technology, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, teacher of the private school Novoshkola E.A. Nazirova spoke about olympiad clubs ., teacher at Arkalyk Multidisciplinary College of Kazpotrebsoyuz Moldabaeva T.A. in her report she paid attention to new technologies in the modern education system of Kazakhstan; the teacher of the ArkPI named after I. Altynsarin Tolenova G.K. spoke in detail about the use of CLIL technology.
In the second part of the event, breakout sessions were held at which participants shared their experiences and best practices, discussed current trends and challenges in the field of teacher education. Among the participants were representatives from Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov, South Kazakhstan Pedagogical University named after U. Zhanibekov, Pavlodar Pedagogical University named after A. Margulan, Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University, Taraz Regional University named after M.Kh. Dulati, Smolensk State University, Arkalyk Multidisciplinary College, Torgai Humanitarian University named after N. Kulzhanova, etc.

It should be noted that the “Tolegenov Readings” at the Altynsarin Institute have been held since 2010 and annually, according to tradition, gathers representatives of science from higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan, the CIS countries and foreign countries.
