From October 23 to October 27, the festive week “Librarian is an Honorable Profession” was held, organized by the Altynsarin Institute Information and Integrated Library in honor of “October 24 – Librarian’s Day”.

The purpose of the week is to convey to readers the spiritual value of the book and that it is our unsurpassed wealth. As well as informing, popularizing the dignity of the librarian profession, attracting readers to the library complex.

As part of the event with the participation of students, the opening ceremony of the festive evening “Librarian is an honorable profession” was held, an essay competition “Menin omirimdi ozgertken kitap” was organized, a virtual exhibition “Tahaui Akhtanov - Kemeldengen Kazak adebietinin kalamgeri” dedicated to the 100th anniversary was organized on the birthday of the famous writer Tahaoui Akhtanov, thematic review “Sultanmakhmut Toraigyrov - poetry of Zharyk Zhuldyzy” in honor of the 130th anniversary of the birth of the largest figure in Kazakh literature Sultanmakhmut Toraigyrov, as well as the “Best Librarian” competition.
At the opening of the holiday week, students of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Philology read congratulatory works for librarians, sang songs and songs.

In the competition “How a book changed my life”, organized with the aim of developing the creative abilities of students, the main prize in the nomination “Best Essay” was received by student of group KB-31 Bolatbek Moldir, student of group KB-31 Kazdanbaeva Symbat took 1st place, 2nd place was won by a student Zhusupova Raushan took the KB-31 group, third place went to Shyngysbaeva Kamshat from the FI-11 group. Readers who took an active part in the competition were awarded letters of gratitude and souvenirs.
At the evening dedicated to S. Toraigyrov, students showed their creativity based on the poet’s works and read the poet’s poems.
On the last day of the week, the “Best Librarian” competition was held among the employees of the information and complex library, where the librarian of the department of scientific and fiction literature, Kamshat Mukhtarovna Abilbekova, was awarded the best employee in the “Best Librarian” nomination.
