Zhanna Zhusupova, vice-rector for academic affairs, said about this in her speech: "Information literacy is a requirement of the century. So it's a common interest for everyone to arm themselves with knowledge. We, in turn, offer this platform for representatives of the older generation of the institute. The fact is, there are people who become victims of Internet fraudsters. Especially recently, there are cases of loans being issued on behalf of pensioners. On this basis, we began to conduct preliminary explanatory work for our employees."
"Silver University" is an international movement that helps seniors get a second degree. This type of training opens doors for citizens over 50 years old to acquire new skills.
This model has been successfully working for more than 60 years in countries such as France, Great Britain, China and Japan. The University of Kazakhstan, within the framework of the "lifelong learning" concept, will implement the "Silver Education" program from 2022.
