On September 5, 2024, within the walls of the Arkalyk Pedagogical Institute named after I. Altynsarin, "Integrity Hour" was held on the topic "Anti-Corruption Policy" with the participation of representatives of the Anti-Corruption Service of Arkalyk.

The event was attended by the faculty, employees of the institute, as well as students of 1-4 years and the student club "Sanaly Urpak".

During the meeting, topical issues of combating corruption in the field of higher education were discussed. The results of the internal analysis of corruption risks, analysis of public procurement, and the formation of an anti-corruption culture were considered.
The speaker of the meeting is the senior officer of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Combating Corruption (Anti-Corruption Service) in Kostanay region (Arkalyk) Mendybaeva D.A. spoke about the activities of the anti-corruption service and shared with the participants where to go if they encounter violations: "If you encounter a corruption violation, you can always contact the call center of the "Anti-Corruption Service - 1424. This is your participation in the country's anti-corruption activities."
Representatives of the institute, in turn, expressed their opinions and supported initiatives to prevent corruption offenses.

Vice-Rector for Research and Strategic Development Zhanar Baiseitova noted the importance of the participation of teachers and students in the formation of anti-corruption consciousness in society: "It is necessary to maintain corporate integrity, improve legal and anti-corruption literacy, form a consciousness of universal rejection of corruption, cultivate anti-corruption consciousness, academic honesty, transparency and openness."

According to her, in this context, the university has already developed and adopted a number of measures aimed at preventing corruption risks. Thus, the institute has introduced a compliance service, which is designed to coordinate the entire system of anti-corruption activities of the university, the student club "Sanaly Urpak" operates, a package of regulatory documents has been developed, within the framework of which the anti-corruption policy is implemented. In addition, within the framework of this activity, various events are held aimed at forming zero tolerance for corruption: conversations, discussions, debates, intellectual games, meetings with representatives of law enforcement agencies and much more.
The Vice-Rector of the University expressed hope for further joint cooperation between the Institute and the Anti-Corruption Service of Arkalyk.
At the end of the meeting, representatives of the city's anti-corruption department answered questions from the participants of the event. In turn, the youth exchanged their ideas and suggestions for improving the anti-corruption policy.
