Altynsarin Institute took part in the forum of rectors of universities of Central Asian countries
On November 20, 2024, the International Forum of Rectors of Central Asian Universities "Transformation of Central Asian Universities in the Context of Global Challenges" was held at the State Residence of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region and the 100th anniversary of the Institute of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The goal of the forum is to expand regional cooperation of Central Asian universities in the field of educational services, conduct joint research and introduce new technologies in the educational process.
The forum was attended by heads of education and science bodies, rectors of universities, experts from Central Asian countries, including a delegation of Altynsarin Institute headed by Rector Yerzhan Amirbekuly.
The Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic Kendirbaeva Dogdurkul Sharsheevna made welcoming remarks.
At the plenary session and thematic panel sessions, heads of universities and experts in the field of higher education made presentations on various aspects of modern higher education. The forum participants discussed a wide range of issues on the transformation of regional universities and their activities in the context of global challenges, on the integration of education, science and business as the basis for the sustainable development of a modern university, and also talked about research universities, which are an important resource for modernizing the economy and digital education.
As part of the forum, heads of Kazakhstani universities signed memorandums of cooperation with foreign colleagues. Thus, Arkalyk Pedagogical Institute named after I. Altynsarin signed agreements with Osh State University and Osh State Pedagogical University. The main objectives of cooperation are joint participation in international projects, the development of mobility among students and teachers, as well as the expansion of scientific expert space.
