As part of a working trip to Kyrgyzstan as part of the Kazakh delegation, Chairman of the Board - Rector Yerzhan Amirbekuly visited a number of universities in the country.

In particular, Osh State University, where about 49 thousand students study, and Osh State Pedagogical University, which is the only pedagogical university in the country.
At OshSU, the Kazakh delegation was received by Rector Kudaiberdi Kojobekov.

After the reception, the guests were introduced to the university staff, where the leaders presented their universities on the stage of the assembly hall.

Then, according to the program of the visit, the guests were given a tour of the main buildings, where they were introduced to the activities of the faculties and institutes of OshSU, and shown the material and technical and research base of the university.

During the negotiations, Rector Kudaiberdi Kojobekov told the guests about the activities of the university, key areas in educational and research work, and cooperation with foreign partners.
It is worth noting that currently over 49 thousand students are studying at Osh State University in 72 specialties. 13,510 students from 27 foreign countries are receiving education. In total, over 1,500 teachers and more than 1,200 employees work there. Today, Osh State University includes 17 faculties, 3 educational institutes, 6 colleges, 5 lyceums, 1 kindergarten, postgraduate, residency and master's departments. The following operate here: the Faculty of Business and Management, the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology, the Faculty of Theology, the Faculty of Russian Philology, the Faculty of Physics and Technology, the Faculty of Foreign Languages, the Faculty of Natural Science and Geography, the Faculty of History and Law, the Faculty of Medicine, the International Medical Faculty, the Faculty of Journalism, the Faculty of Pedagogy and Physical Education, the Faculty of Art.
"Each educational institution has its strengths. "I believe that through cooperation we will reach new heights together," Yerzhan Amirbekuly noted at a meeting with the rector of the Osh State Pedagogical University A.Zh. Myrsabekov Bekmurza Zuluyev.

Today, about 15,000 students, 200 masters and 40 postgraduates study at the university. The teaching staff includes 4 doctors of science, 40 candidates of science, 30 masters, 60 associate professors and 150 teachers. OshSPU trains competent specialists at the level of secondary education, bachelor's, master's and postgraduate studies, implementing a multi-level educational program. There are 6 faculties, 1 college and postgraduate and master's programs.
The parties also exchanged views on a number of initiatives and a decision was made to establish bilateral cooperation within the framework of interuniversity education, science, and exchange of faculty and students. The signing of a bilateral cooperation agreement with two Osh universities will take place on November 20, 2024 in Bishkek as part of the forum of rectors of universities of Central Asian countries.
