The Altynsarin Institute hosted a ten-day period dedicated to December 16 – Independence Day. Events with the participation of students from the faculties of “Pedagogy and Philology”, “Natural Science and Informatization”, “History and Art” were aimed at educating citizenship and patriotism, forming the spiritual and moral world of students, understanding the essence of historical periods, and their involvement in national interests.

Within the framework of the ten-day period, a round table “Kazakhstan is an independent country!”, curatorial hours in academic groups on the topic “The Dawn of Independence”, open discussion platforms “The role of the teacher in the formation of independence values”, a festive event “Tauelsizdik Tiregim - Kazakhstan Zhuregim”, a seminar on topic “Tauelsizdik tutkasy – bizge amanat.”.

Topics included a discussion of strategic steps, important initiatives and bold decisions, major successes and significant achievements, turning points and difficult moments in the formation of Kazakhstan. The events were held in the format of a colloquium, intellectual tasks, stage performances and creative solutions, which expanded the students’ knowledge and ideas about the country’s Independence.
In addition, on the initiative of the information and comprehensive library, a book exhibition entitled “Tauelsizdik tankirdin urpakka bergen bakyty” was presented. At the exhibition, readers had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with books and periodicals about the country’s path from independence to the present day.
All events held within the framework of the decade, which instilled in students a sense of respect for history and responsibility for continuing the legacy of their ancestors, were held at a high level.
