During a visit to the Republic of Tatarstan, the Altynsarin Institute delegation met with colleagues from universities in this country. The meetings resulted in agreements to sign a number of agreements.

Among the universities in Tatarstan visited by the ArkPI delegation headed by the rector of the institute was Kazan Federal University. This is one of nine Russian federal universities, the oldest, after Moscow, continuously existing university in Russia.
The guests were welcomed by the Vice-Rector for External Relations of the Kazan Federal University, Timirkhan Bulatovich Alishev, and the Director of the Department of External Relations, Olga Anatolyevna Vershinina.

The main issue that was discussed was to determine the vectors of cooperation between the two universities. Timirkhan Alishev made a presentation of Kazan University, spoke about the history of the university, its structure, innovative and scientific activities at KFU, the main educational programs and projects in which the university participates. The vice-rector paid special attention to the issues of pedagogical training at the university.
In addition, the vice-rector stated that in the 2023/2024 academic year, 543 citizens of Kazakhstan are studying at KFU. “We work very closely with a number of Kazakh universities. We are ready to work and interact, to continue communication,” summed up the vice-rector of KFU. Scientists from Kazakhstan have also received an invitation to take part in events within the framework of the BRICS summit, which will be held for the first time in Kazan in 2024.

The delegates listened with interest to the university representatives and began discussing cooperation between educational institutions. The parties are ready to accept students for undergraduate and graduate programs as part of academic mobility, which should be the first step towards the creation of double degree programs. In addition, the main forms of interaction will be internships for teachers, undergraduates to conduct research, joint supervision of dissertations, and joint publications of scientists.

In turn, the guests expressed not only gratitude to the leadership of Kazan University for their hospitality, but also showed high interest in cooperation with KFU.
“At each university we discussed a minimum program for the near future. It is very important for us to develop the potential of our students. Your university, in our opinion, has shown a high level of training of specialists. There are areas in which KFU is extremely interesting to us, for example, pedagogical science, inclusive education, preschool pedagogy, primary education, teaching methods. That is why we are interested in long-term cooperation with the university,” Yerzhan Amirbekuly noted in his speech. Also, the Rector of ArkPI said about his readiness to invite representatives of KFU to the scientific supervision of master's students of our institute.
During the meeting, an agreement was reached to sign a Cooperation Agreement, as well as to develop a roadmap for cooperation between KFU and ArkPI.

In addition, as part of the stay program, members of the delegation visited the KFU Museum, the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication and the Institute of Psychology and Education of KFU. We met with the management and teaching staff of the institutes. The guests got acquainted with the history, activities, educational programs of the institutes, scientific schools and laboratories, as well as the experience of international cooperation and the life of the university in general. At each institute, much attention was paid to the student exchange program and the organization of on-site internships for teachers.

In general, the result of almost all meetings at the university will be the signing of cooperation agreements with KFU. This will happen after agreement with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
Let us add that this was the first visit of the Altynsarin Institute delegation to Tatarstan, and future forms of cooperation will be its result.
