From January 27 to January 31, 2024, the Kostanay region Championship in national martial arts among boys, youth and adults was held in the city of Tobol.

The goal is the development and popularization of martial arts as a sport in the Kostanay region.
The championship was attended by athletes who passed the regional selection, where the tasks were to encourage an active and healthy lifestyle, improve the sportsmanship of athletes, and identify the strongest.
The team formed by the department of physical culture and sports of the akimat of the city of Arkalyk included 4th year students of the ArkPI named after Y. Altynsarin Sabyrzhan Meirbek and Zhagiparov Olzhas, a 2nd year student of the educational program "History" Satybaldina Zhuldyz and a female student 2 courses of the educational program “Russian language and literature in schools with non-Russian language of instruction” Sagidanova Gulmaira.
As a result, 1st place was taken by Sabyrzhan Meirbek, who competed in the men's fight in the 60 kg weight category, and Satybaldina Zhuldyz in the 55 kg weight category and Sagidanova Gulmaira, who competed in the 56 kg weight category. In the weight category up to 70 kg, Zhagiparov Olzhas took 3rd place.
It should be noted that in the future, student-athletes of Altynsarin Institute will play for the national team of the Kostanay region and represent the region.
