A meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan D. Ahmed-Zaki on the topic “Development of artificial intelligence in the Kazakh language, improvement of the national corpus.”

The meeting was attended by managers, vice-rectors, scientists and representatives of research institutes and higher educational institutions.
The general director of the NPO "Til-Kazyna" named after Sh. Shayakhmetov M. Zhumabay, the director of the Institute of Linguistics named after A. Baitursynov A. Fazylzhan, the director of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence of the L. Gumilev ENU made reports on the corpus of the Kazakh language and shared their thoughts. A. Barlybaev, data analyst at the Institute of Intelligent Systems and Artificial Intelligence of Nazarbayev University R. Yeshpanov, Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University M. Mansurov.
At the meeting, which was attended by about three hundred people, Vice Minister Darkhan Ahmed-Zaki noted that given the possibilities of creating artificial intelligence in the Kazakh language, a large amount of text, audio and video content is required, collected in educational institutions.
As a result of the meeting, a memorandum of mutual cooperation was drawn up between the National Research and Production Center "Til-Kazyna" named after Sh. Shayakhmetov, the Scientific Research Institute of Linguistics named after A. Baitursynov, the ENU named after L. Gumilyov, Nazarbayev University, and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
It should be noted that the head of the ArkPI Research Center named after I. Altynsarin Zh. Baiseitova and the press secretary of the marketing and communications department K. Kanat took part in the meeting where the work and plans of the developers of the national corps were discussed.
