Online webinar on cyber security and artificial intelligence
On December 14, 2023, teachers and employees of the Altynsarin Institute took part in the educational webinar on digital literacy, organized by the public foundation "TAUAN" in cooperation with the NAO "Karagandinsky University named after Academician E.A. Buketov".
As part of the scientific and business program, a discussion of cyber security and the use of artificial intelligence in the academic environment took place.
The main goal stated by the organizers is to involve and educate university students in the field of information security problems, to acquire and develop primary applied skills and practical skills in the field of cyber security, to develop proposals for the creation and development of artificial intelligence technologies to solve cyber security issues.
In their reports, representatives of the fund shared their experience and knowledge on topics such as attack scenarios, vulnerabilities, risks, distribution of responsibilities in the information security team, and phishing. The participants received a lot of useful information, which they will be able to apply not only in their studies, but also in their future professional activities.
The participants of the webinar note that the region takes seriously issues related to cyber security and artificial intelligence. "Today we received the necessary knowledge in the field of monitoring and detection of computer attacks and analysis of information security events, configuration and application of information protection tools" - they shared their impressions.
The webinar ended with the collective development of Recommendations for improving the management of artificial intelligence. At the end of the meeting, each participant received a certificate.
It is worth noting that at the international forum DigitalBridge 2023, the President of the country Kassym-Jomart Tokaev noted that today it is necessary to significantly update the content and teaching methods of university disciplines. "Future teachers, doctors, agronomists, lawyers, industry specialists must have basic knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence," he said in his speech.
