On November 15, 2023, the Altynsarin Institute hosted the book exhibition “Tauelsizdik nyshany-tol tenge”, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the introduction of the national currency, the tenge.

The event was organized by the “Information and Comprehensive Library” with the aim of informing readers about the history, changes and transformation of the tenge, the National currency circulation, and attracting readers to the library complex - the only feature that determines the sovereignty of the state.
During the event, students were shown an excerpt from a documentary about the history of the origin of the national currency; participants in the exhibition discussed issues of activity, the history of the tenge in strengthening currency relations, and its current significance. In addition, intellectuals answered educational questions and competed.
The exhibition presents books from the collections of the Thomas Garman library “Zheke Karazhat”, “Audit” (ed. Podolsky), books by T. Goyer “Memlekettik Karzhy”, M. Gregory “Economics” and other publications of writers dedicated to the financial sector.
The most interesting thing is that the viewer interested in the exhibition was given the opportunity to view it virtually. The open exhibition, presented to students and interested citizens of other universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, continued throughout the day.
The exhibition participants expressed gratitude to the Altynsarin Institute, which provided an open online platform for conducting a constructive dialogue in an informal format on the history of the tenge.
