On October 20, Ybyray Altynsarin, an outstanding Kazakh educator, writer, ethnographer, folklorist, and public figure, was born.

One of the leading pedagogical universities in the country, the Arkalyk Pedagogical Institute, bears the name of an outstanding representative of the history of Kazakh education, Ybyrai Altynsarin.
Today, on the birthday of the poet-educator, a man who left a deep mark on the formation of the Kazakh national school, students laid flowers at his monument in the main building of the institute.
A group of young poets recited the poems “Let’s, children, study”, “Knowledge helped people” and other poems by the national teacher.
It should be noted that 1st year students of the faculty of “Pedagogy and Philology” of the educational program “Kazakh Language and Literature” took part in the ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to the Kazakh educator. In her speech to the students, senior teacher Shakirova K.R. mentioned that her grandfather was a friend of Altynsarin.
