Altynsarin Institute Graduate Receives Invitation to the Republic of Korea
A 2023 graduate of the educational program "6B01703 - Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages" of Altynsarin Institute, Bayarystan Akbope, shared her opinion on how she managed to get the opportunity to teach foreign students in the Republic of Korea.
She currently works as an English teacher at School-Gymnasium No. 4 named after I. Altynsarin in Arkalyk.
The graduate of the institute, who speaks English, Russian, German and Korean, immediately applied to participate in the competition for teaching in Korea. Having demonstrated compliance with the specified requirements, she was selected from among 14 applicants.
Chairman of the Board - Rector of the ArkPI named after Y. Altynsarin Yerzhan Amirbekuly had a conversation with Akbope before the trip and thanked her for her contribution to raising the prestige of the institute.
As a student, Akbope studied for one semester under the academic mobility program at Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University in Turkey.
The head of the educational program "Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages, English" Asanova Asel Karlybaevna gave a positive assessment of the graduate. According to the teacher, she proved herself well during her student years. She noted that high academic performance, an active life position, and a balanced character predicted great prospects for the student in the future.
During the interview, Bayaristan Akbope said: “My interest in learning foreign languages was awakened during my school years. Studying under this educational program, I improved my language skills. As a student, I listened to lectures in Korean through the Coursera platform. My goal is to improve the language culture of students and communicative skills between languages in learning, including in the teaching of foreign languages, to provide mental support to students in gaining knowledge. Thank you Altynsarin Institute for helping me hone my theoretical and practical skills. " Let us recall that during the visit of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Seoul and Hong Kong on April 1-3, 2024, a memorandum of cooperation was signed with the Gyeonggi Provincial Education Department of the Republic of Korea. Due to the low level of Russian language proficiency of students in local secondary schools in the cities of Ansan, Huason, Anson and others, the Education Department of Gyeonggi Province, within the framework of the Memorandum, invited young teachers from Kazakhstan who speak Russian as assistants to local teachers to provide additional assistance to students.
