As part of the international ethno-festival, the World Kettlebell Lifting Championship was held in the historical city of Uzbekistan, Khiva.

600 athletes from 26 countries took part in the competition: the USA, England, Iran, Poland, Australia, Turkey, Belarus, etc.

Altynsarin Institute student Rostislav Rinatovich Ismagilov added a silver medal to the Kazakhstan national team’s treasury.
He competed in Group A among men in the 63 kg weight class and took 2nd place in the long cycle clean and jerk.
